Protecting Democratic Rights

Participating in a democracy in a meaningful way can take many different forms. The right to vote, to campaign, and to seek elected office are some of the rights that are crucial to protecting our democratic system. CCLA stands up for these rights in court and before lawmakers when they are threatened and advocates for their preservation and expansion.
